Professional Biography
Following graduation from Law School in 1973, Mr. Morgan
served a clerkship with the Honorable Frank Q. Nebeker,
Associate Judge of the DC Court of Appeals, Washington, D.C.
Thereafter, he entered private law practice in the
litigation section of a law firm in Washington, D.C.
He became an associate in a general litigation firm in Salt
Lake City, Utah, specializing in personal injury cases.
In 1979, he became in house legal counsel for a real estate
syndication company. In 1982, he was a founder and
legal counsel of a local real estate syndication company.
In these positions, Mr. Morgan supervised the acquisition
and disposition of over $100 M of commercial real estate
investments nationally.
For several years, Mr. Morgan served on the Board of
Directors and then as Chief Legal Officer of a
multi-national translation company with offices in 16
Countries. During this time, he supervised a private
funding through a New York based investment firm and the
company's acquisition by another international company.
In 1987, Mr. Morgan became a director and administrator of a
private multimillion dollar venture firm. During this
association, he supervised and counseled a number of
start-up technology (software/hardware) companies. In
addition, he served in a number of capacities for several of
the portfolio companies including Founder, Board Chairman,
Board member, President and legal counsel. Because of
his extensive practical business experience, Mr. Morgan has
been a lecturer at two universities and has conducted a CLE
Real Estate course.
